Another Fine Day in Budapest

Listening to: So Young by The Corrs
Good evening, good morning, or good afternoon for all of you whom I know and I wish to meet you again someday. Over than three weeks I've been living here in Budapest. I have to thank God for what I've seen so far and I'm not going to stop to walk and chase. Never mind.

It was yesterday when I and my roommates, Rachel and Jessica went out together. We stopped in some places to eat and drink hot chocolate. Lots of fun. We jumped on Citadela hillside and walked across the Liberty bridge. Girls just wanna have fun.

Jump, Rachel Jump!

So yes, in last Saturday I came back again to The Heroes Square. Heroes square is located in the end of Andrassy Avenue and the entrance of the City Park. This place is one of the biggest square and must visited places in Budapest. In the middle of the monument stands a 36 m high corinthian column with the statue of Archangel Gabriel on the top, the symbol of the Roman Catholic religion (www.budapestinfo.org). There are two semi circles buildings that make up the monument and inside of its niches stand statues of famous men of Hungarian history.

Night at Heroes Square
Nearby to this place I could see the buildings of The Museum of Fine Arts and The Art Gallery. I didn't go inside that places on that day because I want to walk along the Andrassy Avenue and feel the sunlight. It was such a very beautiful day. Many tourists covered this place and so do I.

I.. just Wanna Lay Down Here

Castle Side

I just kept walking and took pictures. I saw a building looks like a castle. It looked old from its facades and exterior. This building is surrounding by a lake and parks in each side. As the tree leaves turn the color into yellow, orange, brown, and red I felt like I was being in a fairytale. Suddenly my mind was thinking about a beautiful princess waiting for a lucky man riding a white horse. Hahhaa..

I went closer to the castle to peer up the prince, LOL!
Closer..
Closer..

Hold on, I saw people was coming out of the building door. OMG.. Apparently this castle is a museum. Yup, Museum of Hungarian Agriculture. Some literatures say that this place is the largest agriculture museum in Europe and has been used since 1897. Lucky me, on that day there's an Orchid Show inside the building. Didn't think twice I joined the show. The ticket price was 1600 Forint (6 Euro) and was really worth it.

 A Long Time Ago
For the first time in my life I saw that incredible varieties of Orchids and so damn pretty! I wanna bring them all home. I know that Black Orchid is kind of hard to find, what about the blue one? Than I felt in love at the first sight :)

What A Good Idea

Is It Orchid As Well?
This exhibition just awed me all the day. When I went out from this castle it's already dark and of course colder than before. The wind whirl and blew my stomach. I enjoyed my bread while thinking where am I going next. Then, The Parliament Building just delivered in my head. I packed up my stuff and walked faster to the metro station. Yes, I was freezing.

I'm so glad that I made it. About 15 minutes later, The Parliament building was right in my sight. So pretty, the light covered all of the building. I don't know, for me sometimes this building looks like a mosque.
Getting Closer

Anyone Wanna Put the Caption?

I spent a couple of time to take pictures and enjoy the building. There're many tourists around me then I just had a conversation with some of them. Somehow, between tourists it's normal to help each other to take pictures. This is how the simple conversation starts. The first one was two men with their backpacks. These guys are from Czech Republic and are heading to Sri Lanka. Chasing the sun they said. They highly recommended me to visit Prague, hmm actually this city is already included in my list.

The second one was so hilarious. These four guys are the exchange students from Erasmus program and study in Kosice, Slovakia. Three boys are from Poland and a girl from French. They had a vacation in Budapest in that weekend. We talked and ended the night with dinner and enjoy the city together. Then, I met all of their member team. It was around 30 young people from all around the world. What a night with nice people. Hope to meet them again someday.

So, what about tomorrow? :)
