What a life?

I don't know what's going on my life. Suddenly I'm here in Budapest, Hungary. I could say that it's a blessing in disguise. Yes, my dream is travelling to Europe. Now, here I am. Travelling to other countries in European Union is getting closer right now. What a life. When I had a chance to go to USA, I was thinking oh come on, I don't have any idea about America why should the chance is America instead of Europe. But now, OMG I wanna go back there again. One more time. Can I?

Anyway, Today is exactly one week I've been staying in Budapest. What am I doing here? It sounds funny if I say having English class with children and share about Indonesia. But, I'm working on it. Every day, Monday to Friday I go to Derkovits Primary School to take the classes. For this week I've taught kids from 4th grades to 8th grades. Isn't it fun?

I'm joining the AIESEC program, it's a platform for young people all around the world to develop and discover their potential. We are doing a project as a model to train ourselves. My project is sharing about Indonesia to this primary school. What about Indonesia? I was sharing to kids about Indonesia's biodiversity, our richness, our weather, culture, food, flag, religion, and so for this week. I'm so happy because the kids interested in what I'm saying. They were curious and asked me so many questions. They even curious about me. Sometimes I never think about it. For examples, what's my favorite color? what's my favorite subject? what's my favorite animals and who's my favorite actor?  Seriously I never prepare myself to answer this kind of question.

So, now I have green as my favorite color, Biology and History for my favorite subjects, bear for favorite animal, and Angelina Jolie for my favorite actress. Hahaha..

Besides that, here I make new friends also. We are working in the same program. There are Rachel and Barbara from Brazil, Jessica from Chile, Shirin from Malaysia, Kareem and Tarek from Egypt, Fatima from Somalia, Dori and Kornell from Hungary. Oh yes, we are usually go out somewhere to discover Budapest.

I have five weeks more to go in Budapest. I'll share my experiences here. Yup.

  1. Life is amazing, isn't it? So much fun and surprise.
I really envy of you Ubo. You travel and play with the kids - best combination I can ever imagine. I am waiting for a lot of stories of yours. Hehehe
And I hope you can find someone there, just like you said before you went to the US almost 2 years ago, " I've travelled around Indonesia but still can't find someone, maybe I need to go to the US." And now you're in Europe. That's amazing Ubo..
    God bless you always.

  3. Never heard ab AIESEC program. Tapi tentunya ada banyak program beredar. Semoga semakin banyak orang Indonesia yg ngisi form dan ikutan program-program dunia seperti ini. Apalagi kalo ngisinya saat abroad. Kayaknya kesempatannya jadi berlipat.

Ayo buat yuk...
